Temporary apartments for the housing association Bo42
Relocation apartments in Svaneke
This temporary housing complex has been built as relocation apartments for the Bo42 housing association in connection with the renovation of the Gryneparken department in Svaneke on Bornholm. The complex consists of 27 modules of the Maxi Flex type, which together form 12 functional and inviting apartments, created to provide residents with a safe and well-functioning environment for a temporary period.
The apartments are divided into nine three-room apartments and three five-room apartments, all with their own terrace, which extends the living area of the home and creates a natural transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The homes are set up in three separate housing blocks, which are connected by walkways and a common terrace. The level-free access and access ramps ensure good accessibility for all residents and support a well-functioning and coherent building.

Project Design
Inside, the apartments are equipped with an entrance hall, a spacious kitchen/living room, two to four comfortably sized rooms, and a bathroom with a toilet. The interior design is well-thought-out and functional, with a focus on everyday life, space and flexibility, so that the homes function optimally – even when they have to accommodate different household types.
Externally, the modules are clad with roofing felt on the roof surfaces and long Thermowood planks in pine, which gives the building a warm, natural and more permanent look. The choice of materials creates a calm whole that blends naturally into the surroundings and supports the experience of homeliness – even in a temporary solution.
The setup itself was carried out by local craftsmen in close cooperation and coordination with ABC Pavilloner’s own employees. This has ensured an efficient process, high quality in the execution and a project that has been completed with respect for both the timetable and local conditions.
The complex consists of:
-
9 three-room apartments of 64 m²
-
3 five-room apartments of 96 m²
The result is a well-functioning relocation project, where temporality and quality go hand in hand, and where good, safe conditions have been created for the residents – even while their permanent homes are being renovated.
