Rehousing apartments for Ballerup Almennyttige Boligselskab

This temporary housing complex in Ballerup is built as rehousing accommodation for the housing association’s department at Grantofteparken. The building consists of eight Maxi Flex modules that form four functional homes, as well as two adjacent multi-modules that function as a community house for the residents.

The four apartments are distributed across two separate housing blocks, where both blocks are equipped with ramps that ensure level access. The homes are designed with an entrance with storage space, spacious kitchen/living room, two comfortably sized bedrooms with built-in wardrobe cabinets, and a bathroom with toilet. The layout is thoughtfully designed so that each home functions optimally for everyday needs, while creating safe and manageable surroundings for the residents.

The two multi-modules form a temporary community house totaling 87 m², which is arranged with a large lounge, kitchenette, dining area and seating arrangement as well as toilet facilities. The community house creates a natural gathering point for residents, where social activities, shared meals and socializing can take place: an important component in a temporary residential environment.

The exterior of the complex’s modules features anthracite gray profile boards and roofing felt on the roof surfaces, creating a stylish and calm look that blends harmoniously with the surroundings. Inside, healthy materials have been used to ensure a good indoor climate, pleasant lighting conditions and a comfortable everyday life for the residents.

The result is a temporary housing complex that combines functionality, accessibility and social settings in a thorough manner. The complex provides residents with both safe homes and a common meeting point while their permanent homes are being updated.
