Aarhus Business College expands again after record enrollment
Aarhus Business College in Risskov has once again expanded its facilities to accommodate a growing number of students.
This year, the school has enrolled 428 new students – an increase of over seven percent compared to 2024.
To create space, the school has, in just three months, had three new teaching modules delivered by ABC Pavilloner from central Jutland, who were also behind a similar expansion for the same school last year. The extension consists of wood-based modules that are flexible, quick to set up, and largely recyclable.
Student numbers can change from year to year, and with the short notice, the rapid construction time, and the possibility of adjustments, modular construction is an obvious solution. Again this year, we managed to get everything in place on time, so we could open the doors to the new premises and welcome our new students.
- Martin Bøndergaard Sørensen, Facility Manager at Aarhus Business College
Flexible construction promotes recycling
The modules, which have previously been used at a school in Hvidovre, have been renovated and adapted for the new students in Risskov.
They are leased for a three-year period with the possibility of extension, with ABC Pavilloner responsible for operation and maintenance.
According to department manager Dennis H. Vegeberg from ABC Pavilloner, the rapid establishment and the possibility of reuse are a major advantage:
Up to 75 percent of the modules can be used again, which saves both time and reduces the climate impact.
